We understand many people are not happy with Chick-fil-A's strong opposition to same-sex marriage, but that's no excuse to berate an innocent employee in the drive-thru window.

Jon Stewart doesn't think so either, so he couldn't help but comment (above) on a viral video of a man insulting a "well-mannered hourly shift worker" for being employed by the fast food chain.

The Daily Show host points out a big issue with this debate. Chick-fil-A employees have nothing to do with Dan Cathy's views on marriage. They are just trying to make a living like the rest of us, so there is no need to personally attack them!

Anybody that starts approaching individual employees to hold them responsible for another person's opinion is doing more harm than good for a movement about acceptance.

Boycott and protest the COMPANY, not the people who are just there to earn a paycheck.
